Deborah is a Canadian social worker with experience in the cancer society and Alzheimer’s society; Her background is in the manufacturing industry, owning and operating a beauty supply store and is a successful community intervention specialist. She was born in Guyana, South America and immigrated to Canada in 1975 where she now calls Brampton home. She earned her degree in business management attending school in Windsor and London, Ontario. A lifelong athlete, she has coached track & field, soccer and volleyball. Deborah has been volunteering for over 40 years and a core belief that continues to drive her daily is there is goodness in this world if we can sit at the table and have a discussion with one another and find common ground, no matter where you come from. Deborah has two adult children and four grandchildren. When she’s not volunteering, she loves to travel, try new food, go hiking and spend time with her family and friends.

With over 1,000 hours of teaching experience and a prestigious 500-hour yoga certification from a leading institute in Texas, Savita brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her role.
She is also a certified breathwork and meditation practitioner through Priority Academy in the UK. Savita’s deep study of the Chakras—the body’s energy centers—enables her to guide individuals on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and emotional balance.
Savita plays a vital role in our mental health and well-being initiatives, conducting yoga and mindfulness sessions that empower individuals affected by stress, trauma, and emotional challenges.
